Founder
Keyvan Behnam, Ph.D., MBA is the Founder and Principal of Applied Regeneration LLC.
With more than two decades of experience in regenerative medicine, orthobiologics, biomaterials, and medical device development, Keyvan has held scientific leadership roles at Zimmer Biomet, Biomet, Lanx, Osteotech, and Intuitive Biotechnologies.
His work has contributed to FDA-cleared medical products, biomaterials innovation, translational research, manufacturing scale-up, and commercialization across multiple therapeutic platforms.
Keyvan holds a Ph.D. in Physiological Science from UCLA, where he trained under the guidance of Dr. Marshall R. Urist in the characterization, regulation, and delivery of bone morphogenetic proteins. He also holds an MBA in Finance and a B.S. in Bioengineering from UC Berkeley.
He is an inventor on more than 20 U.S. patents and the author of 14 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters in regenerative medicine and biomaterials.
